This class is ideal if you’re completely new to Pilates and/or if you’re looking for a gentle but effective Pilates workout.
Probably everyone on the planet has heard about Pilates, the exercise method developed by Joseph Pilates which restores physical and mental balance. Each of my clients has their own story behind why they started Pilates and each has experienced the benefits from regular practice.
Pilates provides an all over body workout and by applying the six unique Pilates principles of Alignment, Centre, Breathing, Focus, Control and Flow, exercises can be modified to make them suitably challenging for all ability levels. With regular practice you will soon develop your ‘core strength’ and a greater body awareness.
My Pilates classes are taught on exercise mats; sometimes using small equipment such as Pilates balls, resistance bands etc. I provide everything you need for the session so all you need to do is wear something comfortable.
Anyone can do Pilates regardless of age or ability so give it a go and most importantly, have fun!
