The Pilates Foundation was founded in 1996 and is the UK’s first Pilates Teachers’ Association. The Foundation is dedicated to maintaining excellence in the practice and teaching of Pilates.
The Foundation promotes the original works of Joseph and Clara Pilates, including honouring the original Pilates repertoire and principles, yet brings current knowledge and research to the teaching of the Pilates Method.
Foundation Teachers undergo extensive training and are required to undertake and pass a rigorous examination process.
Teacher members are required to undertake continuous personal development to keep their knowledge up to date, remain fresh and inspired in their teaching.
Courses and worshops are held on a regular basis and you don’t need to be a Pilates teacer to attend or become member.
