On a recent visit to London I took an hour out of the hustle and bustle to do a Pilates class in one of the hundreds of studios dotted around the City. I decided to challenge myself with a fairly advanced classical mat work class at Pepilates…and I chose well!

The studio (once I found it!) was set in a bright and spacious loft conversion with separate areas dedicated to matwork, equipment and one to ones. The class flowed in true Jospeh Pilates style with no warm up or cool down but straight in to the original rep which included Hundred, Spine Twist, Saw, Teaser, Open Leg Rocker and Push Up to name just a few; I loved every minute and it definitely energized me for a long day of sightseeing.

I should also mention the main reason for our trip was to see the new Charlie & the Chocolate Factory musical, which was amazing!
